This design was inspired by a quilt block of the same name. It has the preamble to the US Constitution in the large diamond shape, along with 13 small flags that represent the first 13 colonies.
All of the signers of the Declaration of Independence with the state they represented are in between the blue stripes, also the date the Constitution was signed and then USA to fill the spaces.
The 50 stars on the outside borders represent the current states and their initials are included in alphabetical order.
DESIGN SIZE: 202 X 210 stitches
FABRIC: Weeks Dye Works, 32 ct Parchment linen
FLOSS: Valdani, 6 strand embroidery floss: #6--Natural (2 skeins), #O507--Rich Wine (1 skein), #O511--Black Sea (1 skein), #O537--Deep Sea (4 skeins).
Correction: OH MY! I REALLY MESSED THIS UP---The list of people on the stripes of the piece are the signers of the Declaration of Independence not the Constitution!! That is what I get for trusting the internet--which is where I collected the info. Sooooo Sorry!! It's still Patriotic:)
Also, one of the names is spelled incorrectly--it says Pillip Livingston and it should be Philip!
